Das Buch enthält so gut wie keine Formel und ist allgemein sehr verständlich geschrieben. Zu jedem Konzept gibt es ein Anwendungsbeispiel mit leserlichem Python Code. Als Anfänger der schon auf anderen Wegen versucht hat sich Deep Learning beizubringen kann ich nur sagen das dieses Buch bisher die beste Quelle für mich war, vor allem da es auch verständlichen Code liefert mit dem man seine eigenen Projekte verbessern kann.Empfehlen würde Ich es für jeden der bereits Python Kentnisse hat und an einer einfachen und nicht technischen Einführung in die Thematik interessiert ist. Ich denke es ist nicht geeignet für Leser, welche bereits in der Materie sind da es keine mathematischen Herleitungen oder ähnliches enthält.Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf.
The book is brilliant in content. However the copy I received was of poor quality, with the print on several pages faded, and the codes for the free eBook not printed at all, which makes me suspect that it was an unauthorised copy. The publisher, Manning, was very helpful in getting the free eBook once we'd sent photos. The order was 'fulfilled by Amazon'.
Not worth it. It assumes a lot a pre knowledge on the subject. Not suitable for beginner to intermediate level of experience. It will make sense to only advanced practitioners in the field.
Ik kocht dit boek omdat het talrijke 5-sterren beoordelingen kreeg. Mijn enthousiasme daalde vlug toen ik vele paragrafen moest herlezen en me afvroeg: wat staat hier eigenlijk? Er staan ook talrijke fouten in de listings en het heeft me uren gekost om sommige programma's aan het lopen te krijgen. Het is ook moeilijk uit te maken welke listings samen horen om één programma te vormen.
Really nice and very-very clear book to get into the deep learning, especially with using a pair of Keras and TensorFlow.It is also good for beginners, who are new to the area.

I did not expect an APPLIED machine learning book from an AI researcher. I’m glad I was wrong.The author keeps the academics to a minimum and focuses on applied machine learning.Many authors ‘hide’ their lack of knowledge with mathematical formulas. Not so in this book. Being able to explain complex topics with words + images requires a profound knowledge.- (page 12): Don’t believe the short-term hype. Excellent part of the introduction.- (page 19): You only need two tools to be successful on Kaggle. I heard people being criticized for being too focused – Francois is willing to stand up. Kudos.- (page 31): 0D tensors, 1D tensors, 2D tensors …what are they exactly?- (page 184): word vectors vs. word embeddings explained nicely on two pages only.- (page 188): training word embeddings in Keras – I’m not so sure about it…- (page 225): NLP with 1D convnets. Love it.In my opinion, only two authors can match the quality Francois’s style. That’s Sebastian Raschka and Aurélien Géron.Masterpiece
